Montana: An American Dream in Southern Brisbane, is a triumph in all aspects. The soft, low contrast, neutral palate is meditative, creating a grounded yet airy set of spaces that invite you gently from one room to the next.
The kitchen displays impressive yet soft wood grain, creamy toned cabinetry, a weighty island, delicately marbled stone, and hardware that evokes the golden hues of a Montana sunset over the expansive plains. The light wood floors and island remind us of the richness of the vast American forests, stretching across the Rocky Mountains. This modern yet timeless showcase captures the best aspects of American design, inspired by the rugged landscapes, wide open skies, and golden prairie grasses of Montana.
Our Bevan Handles in Satin Brass adorn the kitchen cabinetry. Their smooth cone shaped base and refined rings organically present themselves forward, offering themselves to the user. The craftsmanship is unique, unmistakable and so perfectly apt for this clean and elegant space. Although we might be biased, it is clear that the impact of carefully selecting expertly crafted hardware cannot be underestimated. Truly, these smaller touches round out and refine the space, and create a statement that cannot be made in any other way.
Choosing the Bevan Handles was the first triumph, but selecting the Satin Brass finish took the design story to the next level. Mirroring the understated warmth of the room, while reflecting back some of the other style choices, in the tapware, furnishings and flooring reinforces the integrity of the palate and the feeling of effortless and organic luxury.
Montana is no stranger to elegance, and that’s just what we get in the ensuite and attached vanity area. The simple off-white and slightly textured tiles, soft bronze tapware, oak custom cabinetry, and our Bevan Handles create a harmonious blend of luxury and practicality, evoking a sense of a serene mountain retreat while being a practical and welcoming space to start and end your day.
The open living plan, highlighted with delicate glass and white framing, leads us to the garden and pool space surrounded with a crisp white exterior accented by gorgeous stonework that truly lend themselves well to that feel of elegance and relaxation. The movement through these linked spaces is eased by the soft edges of the furniture selections and punctuated by the reflection of the water and the refreshing greenery surrounding the garden.
The Montana project brings home why most of the world has fallen head over heels for this earthy, glistening trend. While our hardware is often a showstopper wherever it’s installed, this particular project gives it a uniquely serene backdrop where it can truly shine. All the elements of this home work seamlessly to create a vision of a mountainside spa, nestled in the Montana wilderness. The clean wood tones, mixture of white and off-white furnishings, and plush textures bring the entire project from the rugged beauty of Montana's landscape into a cohesive and serene space. There’s no sign of the effortless Montana influence stopping anytime soon, and for good reason. In many ways, it can be as neutral or as unique as you want it to be, and can be built upon and layered over time. This approach can easily adapt to your own philosophy, by changing subtle details here and there, retaining that restorative spa-like feel while allowing your personal design aims to shine. This relaxed style allows the owner to harness the casual yet classy feel that not only creates a beautiful living environment but also affords the longevity that only a classic take on a space can, while still highlighting your own unique version of style.
